Emilie de Azevedo is the voice of mom. Whether that means the business professional mom, the fast-talking multi-tasking mom, or simply the mom next door, she’s the perfect balance of tender and tough to bring any message to life. You might even call her Mom Almighty.

Upbeat and conversational, while also confident and precise, don’t mistake Emilie for a one-trick pony. She has a compelling versatility in her voiceover work that transcends the basic mom sound. With past clients like McDonald’s, Verizon, Lowe’s, Marriott, and more, she’s trusted by many of the world’s biggest brands. Emilie has also worked with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the US Department of Health and Human Services–she loves the challenge of more technical reads, especially ones that communicate invaluable information to audiences.

Voiceover is her main medium, but Emilie is truly an all-around creative at heart. She has a bachelor’s degree in theatre from Brigham Young University, is an accomplished singer, and makes a point to dance at least three hours per week. Alongside her sister Rachel Coleman, Emilie created the award-winning television show “Signing Time,” a program that builds bridges between children of all abilities by teaching sign language and its importance to kids who have their hearing. “Signing Time” is a great commercial success, having aired on public television, Netflix, and YouTube.

Naturally artistic, Emilie is uniquely suited to bring scripts to life, all the while taking direction with enthusiasm and without attitude.

Emilie lives in Salt Lake City, Utah, and records in her professional-grade home studio. She and her husband Derek Brown are the proud parents of four amazingly kind and talented individuals. Outside the booth, you can find Emilie enjoying the beauty of nature, as well as the beauty of where she feels most at home: surrounded by friends and family.
